Mercedes-Benz Anniversary and Unique Exhibits

The festival is being held for the eighteenth time at the “Wheels of History” auto museum located at Malynska Street, 1. The main exhibition of the museum has been joined by festival guests, showcasing a wide variety of technical rarities. This year’s key theme is the 140th anniversary of the creation of the world’s first automobile and the history of the Mercedes-Benz brand, which has become a symbol of automotive progress. The exhibition features rare models such as the 1938 Mercedes 230 Pullman limousine, the 1970s Mercedes W115 sedan, and luxurious versions of the S-Class from various generations.

“The key theme of Old Car Land 2026 is the 140th anniversary of the first car in the world and, accordingly, Mercedes-Benz, as this German brand was formed over time by the inventors of the automobile.”

Separate exhibits are dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the legendary Volkswagen Golf hatchback and the Porsche 924 coupe, which have left a significant mark in automotive history.

American Classics and Other Unique Cars

A particular pride of the festival is the large gathering of classic American cars. For the first time at Old Car Land, there are vibrant Cadillac Eldorado convertibles, Chrysler New Yorker coupes, and Ford Thunderbird Landau sedans, known for their Rolls-Royce style doors. Nearby, Dodge Dart, Buick Wildcat, Riviera, the sporty Pontiac Firebird, and several Lincoln Town Cars are on display. The extensive exhibition of retro cars from the USA allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of automotive America in the second half of the 20th century.

Among other interesting exhibits are a British double-decker bus, trucks, vintage military vehicles in excellent condition, as well as a large number of motorcycles and scooters. For the youngest visitors, there are exhibits of toys, scale models, and arcade games, as well as the opportunity to test pedal or electric cars.

Visitors have the chance to see exclusive cars, such as an Aston Martin with foreign registration and a Volvo 780 with a body by Bertone. A special mention is given to the exhibit of the recreated Peugeot 406 from the cult film “Taxi” and a collection of rare BMWs from the 70s to 90s.
