Official Exchange Rate of the NBU on July 22: Hryvnia Weakens Against Dollar and Euro

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for foreign currencies for Tuesday, July 22. The hryvnia has shown a slight weakening against the major world currencies.

Dynamics of the Dollar and Euro Exchange Rates

The official exchange rate of the US dollar is set at 41.82 hryvnias per dollar. Compared to the previous banking day, this indicates a weakening of the national currency by 7 kopecks.

The euro exchange rate also showed an increase: it now stands at 48.79 hryvnias per euro. This is 18 kopecks more than the previous official rate, indicating further weakening of the hryvnia against the European currency.

Situation on the Interbank Market

As of 16:00, the exchange rates of the hryvnia against the dollar on the interbank currency market of Ukraine were in the range of 41.83–41.86 hryvnias per dollar. For the euro, the rates were 48.80–48.83 hryvnias per euro.

The exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro is set at 48.79 UAH/euro.

Thus, the current trend indicates a gradual weakening of the national currency against the major foreign currencies in both the official and interbank markets of Ukraine.
