How Prices for Vegetables, Berries, and Fruits Changed in Ukraine in July 2025

In Ukraine, July 2025 saw significant price dynamics for vegetables, berries, and fruits. The changes included both a decrease in the prices of certain products and a substantial increase in others on the market.

Price Dynamics for Vegetables

Due to an increase in carrot sales, its price has noticeably decreased to 13-20 hryvnias per kilogram, while previously prices ranged from 16 to 25 hryvnias. At the same time, the supply of onions remains low, allowing the price to rise from 9-17 to 11-20 hryvnias per kilogram.

Cucumbers have increased in price from 23-30 to 28-50 hryvnias per kilogram. Conversely, the lower price limit for tomatoes has decreased from 30 to 25 hryvnias, although the upper limit remains unchanged. Eggplants have significantly dropped in price: from 70-100 to 40-50 hryvnias per kilogram. The price of “Bilozerka” peppers has also fallen from 60-70 to 53-60 hryvnias.

Broccoli is being sold at a price of 30-40 hryvnias instead of the previous 30-50 hryvnias. Beijing cabbage has increased in price from 12-25 to 23-27 hryvnias per kilogram. The most significant jump was noted in the price of cauliflower – its retail price has doubled and now stands at 45-60 hryvnias per kilogram compared to 10-30 previously. Garlic is not decreasing as actively – prices have dropped from 70-130 to 60-120 hryvnias per kilogram.

Changes in the Berry and Fruit Segment

In the fruit group, there is a continued increase in cherry prices – it is now sold for 180-220 hryvnias per kilogram (previously 150-200 hryvnias). Garden strawberries have also significantly increased in price: from 100-170 to 160-260 hryvnias per kilogram.

Prices for apricots have risen from 80-120 to 110-150 hryvnias, as well as for cherries: from 105-150 to 120-165 hryvnias per kilogram. At the same time, raspberries can be purchased at a lower price – their price has decreased from 160-250 to 150-185 hryvnias, and blueberries from 220-380 to 190-280 hryvnias per kilogram.

“The first Ukrainian apples of the new harvest have appeared on the shelves, although prices for them are almost twice as high as last year. The season started at a price of 60-70 hryvnias per kilogram.”

Pears have become more affordable – the lower price limit has dropped from 80 to 70 hryvnias per kilogram. The supply of watermelons has increased, allowing prices to decrease from 16-22 to 15-20 hryvnias per kilogram.
