Official Exchange Rate from the NBU on September 1: Hryvnia Weakens Again

The National Bank of Ukraine has published the official exchange rates for the first day of autumn. As of Monday, September 1, the exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia is set at 41.32 hryvnias per dollar. Thus, the hryvnia has lost 6 kopecks compared to the previous official rate.

Changes in the Currency Market

The official euro exchange rate has also increased: as of September 1, it stands at 48.20 hryvnias per euro, indicating a weakening of the hryvnia by 7 kopecks against the European currency.

“The exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro is set at 48.20 UAH/EUR”.

Situation in the Interbank Market

According to operational data from the interbank currency market of Ukraine as of 16:00, the quotations of the hryvnia to the dollar were in the range of 41.31–41.34 hryvnias per dollar. For the euro, the quotations were 48.18–48.20 hryvnias per euro.

Thus, both in the interbank and official markets, there is a trend of slight weakening of the national currency against major world currencies, particularly the US dollar and the euro.
