Design and Symbolism of the Coin
The coin is titled “Administrative Justice of Ukraine” and marks an important event — the implementation of the Administrative Justice Code on July 6, 2005, which, as noted in the official description, was a key milestone in the formation of a democratic legal order and the establishment of a separate branch of justice in the state.
“The adoption of the Administrative Justice Code of Ukraine on July 6, 2005, was a turning point in the formation of a democratic legal order in the state and initiated a separate branch of justice aimed at ensuring fairness in the field of public law relations.”
The obverse of the coin (the front side) features the inscription “Administrative Justice of Ukraine” in an arc. Below it is depicted the small State Emblem, as well as a stylized open book. In a laurel wreath, the inscription “20 years” emphasizes the anniversary of the coin.
The reverse of the coin is adorned with a composition featuring a column — a symbol of resilience, steadfastness, and legal order, which culminates in scales of justice. Additionally, the coin displays the words: “Rule of Law,” “Justice,” and “Impartiality.”
Characteristics and Sales Conditions
The coin is made of nickel silver — an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. Its mintage does not exceed 50,000 copies. Each coin is sold in souvenir packaging, and it was introduced into circulation on June 27. The sales restriction allows for the purchase of only one coin per person.
