Construction of the World’s Most Modern Powder Manufacturing Plant
Alongside record export deliveries, the German defense company Rheinmetall, in collaboration with Romania, is launching a large-scale project to build a modern powder manufacturing plant for ammunition. This plant is expected to become one of the largest in the world. Plans for the construction were presented back in March 2024, and the project was developed in conjunction with the European Commission.
The facility will be located in the Romanian city of Victoria and will supply powder for both the country’s domestic needs and the regional defense industry. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with completion expected three years later. The total investment in this project will amount to 535 million euros, and its implementation will create 700 new jobs.
