Contributions to Military Support

According to official information, New Zealand will contribute 4 million New Zealand dollars to two funds that provide lethal and non-lethal military aid to Ukraine. These are the NATO Fund for Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) and the coalition of drones coordinated by the United Kingdom and Latvia. Such measures aim to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities in countering Russian aggression.

Humanitarian Support and Assistance to Refugees

Additionally, the Government of New Zealand will allocate 7 million New Zealand dollars for humanitarian aid to communities in Ukraine affected by the conflict. Another 1 million New Zealand dollars will be directed towards supporting Ukrainian refugees who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war.

“It is crucial for the international community to continue to pressure Russia to end the war and engage in meaningful efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,”

– emphasized the Government of New Zealand, highlighting that support for Ukraine is significant not only for Euro-Atlantic security but also for stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
