The State Bureau of Investigations has exposed the head of the food service of one of the military units in the Dnipropetrovsk region involved in corrupt schemes during the organization of food supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Supply of Poor-Quality Products for the Military
The investigation established that military personnel, including those performing tasks at the front lines, were supplied with products that did not meet established quality standards. The supplies included rotten vegetables and fruits, as well as other goods that did not meet requirements. Instead of the full volume of products stipulated in the contracts, the military received less, and their quality significantly fell short of what was promised.
Personal Enrichment of the Official and a Lavish Lifestyle
According to the investigation, the head of the food service used part of the budget funds allocated for army supplies for his own enrichment. With this money, he purchased real estate in two residential complexes, several premium cars, and other expensive items, registering the property in the names of close associates.
The head of the food service of one of the military units in the Dnipropetrovsk region was found to possess a real “treasure”: mountains of branded shoes, elite watches, dozens of cars, and even a carpet laid out with dollars.
According to investigators, the amount of illegal kickbacks could exceed 1 million hryvnias in just one week. Currently, following the DBR’s exposure, the official faces up to ten years in prison.
