New route: features and schedule

The route operator is the Czech private carrier Leo Express. The first train is scheduled for June 25. The train will depart from Przemyśl, located near the Ukrainian border, and will travel through Kraków, Ostrava, Prague, Dresden, Leipzig, and Erfurt, with the final destinations being Frankfurt am Main and Frankfurt International Airport.

Services will operate daily in both directions. According to the schedule, the train will leave Przemyśl at 13:31 and arrive at Frankfurt Airport the next morning at 07:53. In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Frankfurt at 08:27 and arrive in Przemyśl at 02:23 the following day.

Passenger amenities and the significance of the route

During the journey, passengers will be able to enjoy free Wi-Fi, charging sockets for devices, air-conditioned carriages, and beverage and snack services. Leo Express also emphasizes that the train schedule is synchronized with international flights in Frankfurt, allowing passengers to make convenient transfers.

“The launch of the route has not only practical but also symbolic significance. The new connection will promote better integration of Eastern and Western Europe and improve transport accessibility for passengers from Ukraine,” said Leo Express CEO Peter Keller.

Additionally, the new route will provide direct rail connections between Prague, Dresden, Leipzig, Erfurt, and Frankfurt without the need for transfers. This creates additional opportunities for both tourists and business travelers, especially considering the convenient transport links to Frankfurt International Airport.
