In Kyiv, starting April 15, 2026, a review of the rates for towing improperly parked cars is planned. The minimum cost for transporting a temporarily detained vehicle will be 1,680 UAH.
This is reported by Finway
“The reason for adjusting the rates is attributed to the rising costs for carriers, primarily due to the increase in fuel prices. According to the city authorities, the cost of such services is not set by the state.”
According to the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Konstantin Usov, it is the operating companies that make decisions regarding the pricing policy. At the same time, the new rate effectively aligns with the prices set by the National Police of Ukraine for towing vehicles weighing up to 2 tons.
How rates are changing in cities across Ukraine
Even after the increase, Kyiv remains a city with relatively moderate towing service costs. In Dnipro, this figure is higher: prices start from 2,110 UAH and reach 2,410 UAH. In Lviv, the cost range is from 1,862 to 2,638 UAH for towing one car.
Statistics on violations and economic context
As of the end of 2025, approximately 400 thousand cases of parking violations were recorded in the capital. At the same time, forced towing is applied selectively: only about one in eight violations results in the vehicle being moved to a penalty lot.
The review of towing rates demonstrates a general trend of increasing the cost of urban services. Even those services that are not regulated by the state are gradually adapting to new economic conditions. The city authorities emphasize the need to maintain a competitive balance between different cities in the country.
We remind you that starting April 1, the allowed speed limit has been temporarily increased in Dnipro on certain road sections — up to 70 km/h.
