Mykhailo Belych, co-founder of the Polygon project, announced his decision to leave the Polygon Foundation and gradually reduce his involvement in the day-to-day operations of Polygon Labs. Belych began his journey with cryptocurrencies in 2013, and in 2017, he decided to fully dedicate himself to this industry. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in the creation of Polygon, which, according to him, has made a significant contribution to the development of zero-knowledge technology and collaborated with leading global brands.

Reasons for Resignation and Continued Support

In his address, Belych noted that changes in his vision for the project’s development and personal plans were the main factors influencing his decision. He expressed confidence in the current leadership of Polygon’s ability to achieve new successes and promised to continue supporting the project in any way possible.

Colleagues’ Reactions

Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon Labs, expressed gratitude to Belych for his contributions, stating that he was “not just a co-founder, but a brother.” He recalled the early days of working on Polygon when ideas were just beginning to take shape, strategies were being discussed, and governance models were being created.

“Not just a co-founder, but a brother.”

As he leaves his position, Belych remains an important part of the community and expresses his willingness to support Polygon in any way possible.
