NBU Announces Sale of Silver Commemorative Coin Honoring Ivan Marchuk

The National Bank of Ukraine has announced the sale of a commemorative silver coin with a denomination of 10 hryvnias, which will take place on May 27. The price of one coin will be 5,876 hryvnias. This coin is dedicated to the unique technique of plontanism by Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk and is titled

Each buyer will have the opportunity to purchase no more than one coin. The NBU noted that the coin is made of 925 silver, the year of minting is 2024, and the weight of the precious metal in pure form is 31.1 grams. The edge of the coin is smooth with recessed inscriptions, and the total mintage will be 7,500 pieces. The coin will be sold in a special case.

It embodies the inexhaustible creative power and depth of the Ukrainian soul, which live in every intricate line on the artist’s canvases,” reads the description of the coin.
