In May, 316 billion UAH was received in the general fund of Ukraine’s state budget

In May 2026, revenues to the general fund of Ukraine’s state budget amounted to 316 billion hryvnias. These funds were received in the form of taxes, fees, and other mandatory payments.

Main Sources of Budget Revenue

According to the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service directed 146.8 billion UAH to the budget in the reporting month. Among them:

  • 68.6 billion UAH – corporate profit tax;
  • 36 billion UAH – personal income tax along with military tax;
  • 19.8 billion UAH – value-added tax (VAT), with 41.8 billion UAH collected and 22 billion UAH refunded;
  • 12.3 billion UAH – excise tax;
  • 3.7 billion UAH – share of net profit (income) of economic entities;
  • 2.7 billion UAH – dividends from enterprises with state ownership;
  • 2.6 billion UAH – rent payments.

The State Customs Service ensured revenues of 68.1 billion UAH.

The Role of International Aid and Additional Revenues

A significant source of replenishment for the state budget in May was grant funds received by Ukraine from international partners, totaling 21.7 billion UAH.

“In total, according to operational data, as of the end of May 2026, 411.4 billion UAH in taxes, fees, and other payments were received in the general and special funds of the state budget. Additionally, 58.7 billion UAH (as of May 29) was received in the form of unified social tax to the pension and social insurance funds.”

For comparison, in April 2026, the general fund of Ukraine’s state budget was replenished by 301.5 billion UAH from taxes, fees, and other mandatory payments.
