The State Property Fund of Ukraine has completed the auction for the sale of the assets of the state enterprise “Lviv Distillery.” The lot was purchased for 212.15 million UAH (equivalent to over $5 million) by the company “Lviv Distillery,” which has rented this enterprise for many years and was the sole participant in the bidding.

Details of the Deal and the Factory’s Operations
The starting price at the auction was set at 164.19 million UAH excluding VAT. The winner offered 176.79 million UAH, and with VAT, the total amount reached 212.147 million UAH. The factory specializes in the production of vodka under brands such as Perlova, Lemberg, Premium Lviv, and “Lvivska,” and also produces vinegar. From 2022 to the first half of 2025, the enterprise sold products worth 670.9 million UAH.
“As is known, in December 2019, the President of Ukraine signed a law abolishing the state monopoly on alcohol production. In September 2020, the State Property Fund began the privatization of distilleries. The first successful sale took place on December 10. As of November 2021, the Fund had privatized 30 distilleries, generating a total of 1.7 billion UAH, of which 1.05 billion UAH went directly to the state budget.”
New Examples of State Property Privatization
In addition to finalizing the deal for the Lviv enterprise, the State Property Fund successfully held another auction on November 28. The “Nauka” recreation center in the Odesa region was sold for over 22.2 million UAH (over $524 thousand). A total of 74 potential buyers competed for this lot, and its price increased nearly 109 times during the bidding, from the starting 204,419 UAH. Additionally, the buyer must pay an extra 4.4 million UAH in VAT.
