The company Lemtrans, the largest private operator of rail freight transportation in Ukraine, has ambitious plans to build a modern container terminal in Fastiv, located in the Kyiv region. This project will become an important strategic logistics hub not only for the region but for the entire country.

The opening of the terminal will facilitate the optimization of logistics chains, expand the export capabilities of Ukrainian producers, and integrate local businesses into international markets. It is worth noting that Lemtrans remains an active investor in the transport sector even amid the war.
Investments in Infrastructure Development
In 2024, the company invested ₴478 million in logistics and infrastructure projects, which is 200% more than in 2023. Of this amount, ₴441 million was allocated for the development of terminal and container business. Despite the challenging economic situation, Lemtrans continues to implement new projects aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s logistics potential.
Main Cargoes of the Company
Last year, Lemtrans transported 15.9 million tons of cargo, among which the key items were:
- coal – 10.9 million tons (13.5 million tons in 2023);
- iron ore raw materials – 2.3 million tons (0.4 million tons);
- building materials – 2.01 million tons (2.9 million tons).
