The State Property Fund of Ukraine organized a repeated auction on September 5 for the privatization of the Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Center for the Metallurgical Industry ‘Enerhostal’ in Kharkiv. As a result of the bidding, the winner was the company ‘Gamma-55’ from Kharkiv, whose co-owners operate a nationwide pharmacy network called 911. The enterprise was purchased for over ₴209.11 million, which is 40 times the starting price of the lot.

Details of the Privatization and the Financial Condition of ‘Enerhostal’
As of March 31, 2025, the overdue creditor debt of ‘Enerhostal’ amounted to ₴87.85 million. The initial value of the privatization object was ₴5.23 million, but since the previous auction was deemed invalid, the price was halved. Ultimately, the final sale amount significantly exceeded expectations, indicating a high interest from investors in the object.
Sale of the Controlling Stake in the ‘Kvant’ Plant in Kyiv
Simultaneously, the State Property Fund launched an auction for the sale of the controlling stake in the ‘Kvant’ plant in the capital, which constitutes over 73% of the company’s charter capital. The bidding is scheduled for September 25, with a starting price of around ₴173 million. The ‘Kvant’ plant was declared bankrupt back in 1998, but in 2011 it became part of ‘Ukroboronprom’, and in 2016, the court terminated the bankruptcy proceedings.
‘The privatization of the controlling stake could provide the plant with a chance to attract new investments and modernization. For the state, this is a way to bring funds into the budget and enhance the transparency of managing defense assets,’ noted the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
