Who Can Receive Assistance from the UN in 2025
Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and citizens affected by military actions are eligible for financial support. The assistance is intended for the most vulnerable categories, including those who have not received any payments from the UN or other international organizations in the last three months, as well as those whose average monthly income per family member does not exceed 6,318 hryvnias.
Applications can be submitted by:
- IDPs who have been in status for less than six months, or those who have returned from abroad.
- Families with one parent and at least one minor child and/or a person over 55 years old.
- Families headed by individuals over 55 years old, or elderly people with a child.
- Families with individuals who have disabilities or serious illnesses.
Procedure for Receiving Assistance and Additional Payments
Financial assistance can be received on a bank card or through Western Union. To process the payments, a package of documents must be collected, including a passport, tax document, IDP certificate (if available), bank account details, birth certificates of children or guardianship documents, and, if necessary, a disability certificate.
Applicants must personally undergo an interview with UN representatives at specialized data collection points. A detailed list of these points is available at the corresponding link, and additional information can be obtained from the UN hotline at 0800 307 711.
“The assistance of 3,600 hryvnias over three months is intended to meet their basic needs for food, medicine, and utilities”.
For individuals who have lost housing or family members due to bombings, have undergone mandatory evacuation, or have relatives requiring treatment due to military actions, separate emergency payments are provided.
It is important to be cautious and not provide confidential information to third parties: genuine UN employees never ask for CVV codes, PIN codes, or access to bank accounts.
