Harvest Structure and Regional Leaders

According to official data, the result for 2025 was the best in the last four years. The harvest was primarily composed of corn and wheat. Corn harvest reached 30.9 million tons, while wheat production amounted to 23.3 million tons.

Among the regions, the largest volumes of grain and leguminous crops were recorded in Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi regions, which became leaders in the gross collection of these products.

Dynamics of Technical Crop Production

“However, the harvest of technical crops decreased. In particular, sunflower production fell to 10.2 million tons (11.01 million tons in 2024), and the production volume of sugar beets was 11.68 million tons (12.79 million tons in the previous year).”

There is also a decline in rapeseed cultivation, which in 2025 amounted to 3.2 million tons, 0.4 million tons less than in 2024. Soybean production decreased by nearly 1.7 million tons, reaching around 5 million tons.

At the same time, during the period from January to March 2026, the volume of agricultural production in Ukraine grew by 1.2% compared to the same period last year, indicating a stable positive trend in the country’s agricultural sector.
