Increase in defense aid funding

Initially, the German government planned to provide Ukraine with 4 billion euros in 2025, but in recent months this amount has been raised to 7 billion euros. There is now consideration for an additional increase of 1.9 billion euros, part of which will be directed specifically towards financing projects for the production of long-range weapons.

“Germany will participate in the financing of long-range weapons… We must provide funding so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can procure materials, thereby relieving production mechanisms. We have signed certain agreements that will guarantee this,” said Pistorius.

Record security assistance for Ukraine

The year 2025 will be a record year for security support from Ukraine’s partners. During the “Ramstein-28” meeting, Germany approved a new military aid package worth 5 billion euros. This includes funding for the production of long-range weapons on Ukrainian territory, as well as the supply of air defense systems, other weapons, and ammunition.

Ukraine’s partners once again reaffirm their determination to support the country in its confrontation with Russian aggression, strengthening the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through modern technologies and additional resources.
