75% of Facilities Damaged by Russian Aggression Restored in Kyiv Region

In the Kyiv region, over 30,000 facilities were damaged following the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in 2022. Among them are more than 25,000 private residential houses, over 2,000 apartment buildings, as well as hundreds of social and critical infrastructure facilities.

Status of Housing and Infrastructure Restoration in Kyiv Region

As of July 2025, more than 23,000 facilities have been restored, which accounts for 75% of the total number of damaged structures. The “e-Restoration” program has allowed over 15,500 families to receive compensation for damaged housing, and an additional 3,500 families have received payments for completely destroyed homes. The total amount of payments has exceeded 10 billion hryvnias.

In the village of Borodyanka in the Kyiv region, nearly 600 out of 825 damaged or destroyed facilities have already been repaired, which is 72% of the initial number. The state is focusing not only on restoring the housing stock but also on creating new public spaces, developing social institutions, and implementing barrier-free environments.

Restoration of Transport Infrastructure

Due to the Russian invasion, 29 bridges and other infrastructure facilities were damaged in the Kyiv region. To date, nine bridges have already been put into operation, and seven are in the process of restoration.
