Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that as a result of the massive attacks by the Russian Federation, no power plant in the country has remained unscathed. Scale of Destruction in the Energy System
During his speech at the German-Ukrainian Economic Forum, the president highlighted that energy has become the primary target for Russian drones and missiles for many months. According to Zelensky, there are currently no power plants in Ukraine that have escaped damage from these attacks.
“For many months, our energy sector has been the main target of Russian drone strikes and missiles,” the president emphasized.
Restoration and Countermeasures
The president stressed that despite serious difficulties and intense terrorist pressure from Russia, Ukraine is continuously working on restoring the damaged energy infrastructure. Zelensky noted that energy workers are making every effort to restore electricity to the people and ensure normal life in all regions of the country. He stated that this process is extremely complex, but it continues uninterrupted after each new attack.
The head of state also emphasized that Ukraine is doing everything possible to promptly restore the operation of the energy system and minimize the consequences of enemy shelling.
