In the first half of 2025, Ukraine generated significant revenues from the export of vegetable oils. The leading buyers of Ukrainian sunflower oil were Spain, Italy, and India. These three countries accounted for over a third of total exports, specifically: Spain — 12.88%, Italy — 12.18%, India — 11.77%. The purchase values were $356.95 million for Spain, $337.49 million for Italy, and $326.07 million for India. Overall, from January to June, Ukraine exported over 2.4 million tons of sunflower oil, earning nearly $2.77 billion.

Dynamics of Rapeseed and Soybean Oil Exports
Compared to last year, the export of rapeseed oil from Ukraine in the first half of 2025 significantly decreased — by 72.2%, totaling 19.99 million tons. Consequently, the revenue from this type of export fell by 65.5% to $58.02 million. The main markets for rapeseed oil remain the Netherlands (39.29% of exports, $7.75 million), Germany (21.44%, $4.23 million), and Slovakia (13.13%, $2.591 million).
Growth of Soybean Oil Exports
In contrast to rapeseed oil, the export of soybean oil increased by 52% compared to the same period last year, totaling 287.05 million tons. Revenue from soybean oil exports doubled to $295.03 million. The main buyers of this product are Poland (63.97% of exports, $188.74 million), India (9.02%, $26.62 million), and Germany (4.04%, $11.93 million).
Overall, in the first half of the year, the export of Ukrainian sunflower oil amounted to over 2.4 million tons, with revenues reaching $2.77 billion.
