Experts from the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business have identified five key categories that generated the highest profits for Ukrainian agricultural exports in 2025. The main leaders remain sunflower oil, corn, wheat, soybeans, and poultry meat.

Leading Positions in Agricultural Exports by Year-End
During the reporting period, the structure of leaders among agricultural exports did not undergo significant changes. The top three most profitable groups remained unchanged compared to the previous year. At the same time, there were some shifts: soybeans rose from fifth to fourth place in the ranking, although the profit from their export remained at the level of the previous year. Rapeseed, on the other hand, dropped off the list due to a decrease in foreign currency earnings.
- Sunflower Oil – $5.2 billion, accounting for 23% of total agricultural product exports.
- Corn – $3.9 billion (17%).
- Wheat – $3 billion (13%).
- Soybeans – $1.3 billion (6%).
- Poultry Meat – $1.1 billion (5%).
Export Geography: Leading Markets and Trends
“The largest buyer of Ukrainian agricultural products remains the EU. However, last year there was a reduction in the share of exports to the bloc due to changes in trade conditions with the European Union. If in 2024 the share of EU countries in Ukrainian exports was 52%, last year it was 49%. At the same time, the share of exports to African countries, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East increased, while purchases from Asia decreased (mainly due to minimal exports to China)”.
Although the European Union retains its status as the main importer of Ukrainian agricultural products, its share of total exports decreased to 49% in 2025. This was due to changes in trade conditions with the EU. Meanwhile, there is an increase in exports to Africa, Southeast Asia, and Middle Eastern countries. Conversely, exports to Asia, particularly to China, have dropped to a minimum.
