Details of the Incident in Sevastopol

According to the Russian head of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, air defense systems and mobile fire groups were activated in the city. It was initially reported that two aerial targets were shot down in the areas of General Ostryakov Avenue and Andreevka.

“In Sevastopol, the military is repelling an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, air defense and mobile fire groups are operational. Preliminary information indicates that 2 aerial targets were shot down in the area of General Ostryakov Avenue and Andreevka.”

The local Telegram channel “Crimean Wind” reported that the air raid siren sounded just seconds before the first explosion. It was also noted that two explosions occurred near Cape Fiolent, and at that moment, the Russian air defense and mobile fire groups did not respond. Additionally, explosions were recorded in the area of General Ostryakov Avenue, as well as gunfire near Sevastopol and Artillery bays.

Drones and the Situation in Crimea

Another Telegram channel, “Emergency / Sevastopol,” reported drone flights in various parts of the city. “Crimean Wind” also reported a powerful explosion in the Saki district.

It should be noted that Ukrainian officials have not commented on this situation or other events in Sevastopol and Crimea in general.

It is worth reminding that since 2022, the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula has regularly been subjected to drone and missile attacks. In most cases, the Russian Ministry of Defense or other Russian officials do not confirm the damage to military facilities, even if such information is corroborated by independent sources.
