The Food Market retail chain, owned by the Epicenter group of companies, currently has 26 retail locations. According to the company’s top manager Oleg Shkarovsky, some of these locations were lost due to destruction caused by military actions.

In 2024, Epicenter opened four new Food Market locations, including three in the Kyiv region and one in Chernihiv. This year, there are plans to expand the network by five new supermarkets in various regions of Ukraine, though this number may increase depending on the security and economic situation.
Experiments and the Future of the Network
“We are constantly experimenting. Today, we operate small stores with a basic assortment of products. However, the most successful are full-fledged gastro-markets with a wide selection of goods, with an optimal area ranging from 2,800 to 3,200 square meters,” noted Shkarovsky.
Additionally, the company continues to develop the ‘Epicenter Express’ store format, in some of which food products account for up to 50% of the total assortment, indicating their potential for further growth. Currently, Epicenter does not plan to expand the Food Market project beyond its own shopping centers.
