Dollar Exchange Rate Forecast in Ukraine for 2025: Expectations of Analysts, Bankers, and Businesses

Financial experts, banking employees, business representatives, and citizens of Ukraine expect a gradual increase in the dollar exchange rate over the next 12 months. These conclusions are drawn from updated forecasts published on the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Updated Forecasts from Analysts and the Public

In September 2025, financial analysts revised their expectations for the exchange rate of the American currency, predicting it to be at 44.45 hryvnias per dollar. This is a slightly better figure compared to the July forecast, which was 44.74 hryvnias per dollar. Citizens are also gradually improving their expectations: in August, they forecasted an exchange rate of 43.73 hryvnias per dollar, which is slightly lower than the July forecast of 43.75 hryvnias per dollar.

Position of Bankers and Businesses

According to the National Bank, banking employees have maintained their devaluation expectations at the same level as previous months. In July, bankers, as in April, predicted the dollar exchange rate to be at 45.29 hryvnias per dollar. Business leaders are more optimistic: in May, they expected the rate to be at 43.84 hryvnias per dollar, while in February, this forecast was worse at 44.23 hryvnias per dollar.
