Details of Cooperation Between Ukraine and Denmark
As part of this initiative, the Danish government will allocate 500 million Danish kroner (approximately 78 million USD) to expedite the launch of Ukrainian arms production. These funds are aimed at developing production capacities that will meet the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“This document is the first step in implementing the Build with Ukraine initiative, which we began working on during the previous meeting in the ‘Ramstein’ format,” Umerov noted.
The Ukrainian defense minister emphasized the strategic significance of this agreement, which not only enhances the defense capabilities of both countries but also stabilizes supply chains, opens new opportunities for technology exchange, and fosters deeper integration of the defense sectors of Ukraine and Denmark.
Support for Drone Production and Strategic Prospects
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that Denmark will be the first country where joint defense production with Ukraine will be established. Throughout this year, Denmark plans to allocate 1.26 billion euros for the development of Ukrainian long-range drone production. This step will contribute to strengthening the defense potential and technological cooperation between the two nations.
