Controlled Arms Export: New Markets for Ukraine
Volodymyr Zelensky stated that negotiations are already underway for the sale of weapons in international markets. Ukrainian weapons that are not in short supply for the domestic army will be exported to countries in Europe, the United States, Middle Eastern states, as well as to certain African countries. The funds raised in this way will be directed towards the production of interceptor drones and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, which are critically important for the country’s defense capability.
Priority – Supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine
During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, the president emphasized that the primary task is to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Exports will only occur from surplus production, and the proceeds will be used to cover the funding shortfall for the types of weapons that are lacking, particularly drones.
“The priority is the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Where we produce more, we can export the surplus and have the money that will be spent on deficit items (interceptor drones, long-range UAVs). Arms export will be controlled until the end of the war,” the president emphasized.
Thus, Ukraine is expanding the funding opportunities for its defense sector, which will allow for the strengthening of the army with modern drones for effective protection of the country.
