Ukrainian company City One Development has announced the construction of a new glass manufacturing plant in Kalush, located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. This project, which involves the production of transparent and architectural glass, is being implemented within the “Galicia” industrial park. The new factory will become the second production line, as the first is already being built in the city of Berezan, Kyiv region.

Initially, it was planned that the new factory would be operational by the end of 2024, but due to circumstances related to the war, the launch has been postponed to 2027. The total cost of the project is €135 million, and the planned capacity will reach 600 tons of glass per day.
The company emphasizes that the main factor affecting the timeline for implementation has been the war in Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, combat actions occurred near the construction site in Berezan, complicating the project’s execution.
In selecting locations for the construction of factories, City One Development analyzed five regions of Ukraine. Factors such as distance to markets, which allows for the optimization of logistics costs, as well as access to energy resources, which are critically important for energy-intensive production processes, were evaluated.
