The Kyiv City State Administration has announced changes to trolleybus routes due to a traffic accident that occurred on Yuriy Illienko Street. As a result of the incident, a vehicle struck a contact pole, which fell onto the trolleybus overhead line.

“Today, May 8, an accident occurred near the Lukyanivska metro station, during which a vehicle knocked down a contact pole. The impact caused the pole to fall onto the trolleybus overhead line.”
In connection with this, the trolleybus routes on Yuriy Illienko Street have been temporarily altered. Specifically, trolleybuses will operate on the following routes:
- Routes 6, 28 — to the Pochaivska metro station;
- Routes 16, 18, 31, 33 — to the Lukyanivska metro station via Kureniivka railway station and Biloruska Street;
- Routes 19, 35 — along Olena Teliga, Vadym Hetman, and Chokolivskyi Boulevard to Kadetskyi Hai Street.
Specialists from KP “Kyivpastrans” and other relevant services have already arrived at the scene to assess the damage and carry out the necessary restoration work.
