In Kamianets-Podilskyi, the well-known Ukrainian blogger Grandpa Tolia passed away at the age of 89. He became one of the most recognizable grandfathers on social media due to his videos and charisma. His grandson Oleksandr Husin announced the news of his death on March 15 on his Instagram page, noting that recently his grandfather had been seriously ill and underwent a complicated surgery.

Causes of Death and Grandpa Tolia’s Last Days
According to Oleksandr Husin, doctors initially gave hope for recovery; however, his grandfather’s condition sharply deteriorated after the amputation of his right leg above the knee. Following the surgical intervention, complications led to body intoxication, which was the cause of the blogger’s death.
“I received a call and was told that grandpa was no longer with us. We did everything we could. Perhaps the amputation shouldn’t have been done, but there was very little time. First, there was the surgery, then rehabilitation…” — Oleksandr emotionally recounted.
Grandpa Tolia remained in Ukraine with his wife and lived in Kamianets-Podilskyi in recent years.
