The average pension amount in Ukraine has noticeably increased over the past year. As of October 1, 2025, the average pension payment is 6436.8 hryvnias, which is 10% or 584.9 hryvnias more compared to the same period last year, when this figure was 5851.9 hryvnias. Pension Increases for Working Pensioners
The increase is particularly significant for working pensioners. Their average pension currently stands at 7069.4 hryvnias, which is 13% more than last year. Today, there are 2.8 million working pensioners out of a total of 10.2 million pensioners in Ukraine.

Types of Pension Payments in Ukraine
The largest share of pensioners in Ukraine receives an age pension — this accounts for 73.05% of the total number of individuals receiving pensions. Disability pensions are received by 14.5% of pensioners. Payments in case of loss of a breadwinner make up 6.8%, while those for years of service account for 5.09%. Social pensions are received by 0.52% of pensioners, and pensions in the form of lifetime maintenance for judges are received by 0.04%.
