In April 2025, blockchain-oriented projects secured funding totaling over $1.75 billion. This figure indicates a continued growth in investor interest in Web3 and blockchain technologies, particularly in the DeFi and blockchain services sectors.

Investment Leaders in April

A total of 64 projects received investments, while another 25 startups considered obtaining funding but did not disclose exact amounts. The largest funding was received by the startup Securitize, which secured $400 million from Mantle Treasury to launch the Mantle Index Four (MI4) fund, intended to be an equivalent of SPX or S&P 500 in the cryptocurrency world.

Among other significant investments:

  • Bitdeer: $179 million — a platform for high-performance computing.
  • Auradine: $153 million — a company involved in manufacturing mining devices and developing solutions in blockchain and artificial intelligence.
  • ZenMEV: $140 million — a platform for staking and earning through MEV.
  • Upexi: $100 million — a holding company that acquires consumer brands.

A number of projects also secured funding but did not disclose investment amounts, including Universal Health Token, Node Foundry, BugsCoin, and others.

Investments in Artificial Intelligence

Projects related to artificial intelligence also showed significant results. In particular:

  • Safe Superintelligence: $2 billion — for safe “superintelligent AI”;
  • Runway: $308 million — for generative AI models in media production;
  • SandboxAQ: $150 million — a project at the intersection of AI and quantum technologies.

In April, there was also a noticeable increase in investments in projects related to privacy and decentralized technologies, indicating active development in this area.

According to CryptoRank, the most active investor of the month was Coinbase Ventures, which invested in 10 startups.
