The Council of the European Union has approved a decision to provide Ukraine with nearly €2.8 billion under the Ukraine Facility program.

Financial support and implementation of the reform plan
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, announced the latest tranche. According to her, the European Commission positively assessed the implementation of Ukraine’s Plan for the fourth quarter of 2025, which served as the basis for allocating new financial assistance.
“Today, the EU Council made the decision to allocate nearly €2.8 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program. The European Commission positively assessed the implementation of Ukraine’s Plan for the fourth quarter of 2025,” the statement said.
Svyrydenko also expressed gratitude to the members of parliament for their support of key decisions and their joint work on implementing reforms. She emphasized that as of the end of May 2026, Ukraine had already completed 86 defined steps within the framework of the Ukraine Plan, while another 65 are in the implementation stage.
Total amount of assistance and program prospects
Since the launch of the Ukraine Facility program in 2024, Ukraine has already received €26.8 billion. The total budget of the program for the period 2024–2027 is €50 billion, which includes further tranches contingent upon Ukraine’s fulfillment of planned reforms and commitments.
