Anka Feldgusen Appointed New Business Ombudsman of Ukraine

Anka Feldgusen has been appointed as the new business ombudsman in Ukraine, having previously served as the German ambassador to Ukraine from July 2019 to July 2023.

Appointment Procedure and Role of the Business Ombudsman

The Ministry of Economy has announced that a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the approval of Feldgusen’s candidacy for this position has already been prepared. The decision was made by the supervisory board of the Business Ombudsman Council on November 25 of this year.

“The Business Ombudsman Council is an institution that helps entrepreneurs protect their legitimate rights and interests in interactions with government authorities through non-judicial means. The continuity of its work is critically important for building business trust in state institutions, reducing administrative barriers, and improving the quality of state services for entrepreneurs.”

Anka Feldgusen’s Experience

After completing her diplomatic mission in Ukraine, Anka Feldgusen worked as the authorized representative for stabilization and prevention of civil crises at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her professional experience in international relations and crisis management may significantly contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the Business Ombudsman Council and protecting the interests of entrepreneurs in Ukraine.
