The Supervisory Board of the state-owned Oschadbank has determined the winner of the competition for the position of chairman of the financial institution. The new head will be Yuriy Kation, who previously held the position of Deputy Chairman of the bank.

Experience and Career of Yuriy Kation
Yuriy Kation has significant experience in the banking sector — a total of 27 years, of which 24 years he has worked specifically at Oschadbank. He began his career at this institution as a chief economist. In 2016, Kation headed the corporate business department, and in 2022 he became Deputy Chairman of the Board, responsible for the bank’s corporate business.
“Kation’s overall work experience in the banking sector is 27 years, of which he has spent 24 years at Oschadbank. During this time, Kation has progressed from chief economist to director of the corporate business department (2016), and later to Deputy Chairman of the Board, responsible for corporate business (2022).”
Appointment Procedure and Changes in Management
The final appointment of Yuriy Kation as Chairman of Oschadbank will take place after his candidacy is approved by the National Bank of Ukraine. Until then, the duties of the chairman have been performed by Serhiy Naumov, who has held this position since 2020.
