In December 2025, Ukrainians purchased over 11,000 electric vehicles, indicating a growing interest in eco-friendly transportation in the country. The residents of Lviv region are the most active buyers of electric cars — this region topped the ranking for the number of registered electric vehicles.

Regional Distribution of Electric Vehicle Sales
Lviv region became the absolute leader of the month with 1,620 new registrations of electric cars, of which 89% are used vehicles. Kyiv came in second with 1,595 registered electric vehicles, half of which were purchased as pre-owned. Kyiv region took third place with 876 electric cars (58% used). Following in the list are Dnipropetrovsk region (771 electric vehicles, 61% used) and Odesa region (652 electric cars, 67% used).

Among new electric vehicles, the BYD Leopard 3 is in the highest demand. In the used car market, Tesla models are the leaders: in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk, and Lviv regions, the most frequently purchased model was the Tesla Model Y, while in Odesa region, it was the Tesla Model 3.
