Who is Affected by the Sanctions

The sanctions apply to five individuals. Among them are former Member of Parliament Natalia Korolevska, Russian journalist Yulia Latynina, and Ukrainian entrepreneur Hennadiy Balashov. The relevant list and justification are provided in the annex to the NSDC decision.

What Restrictions Are Imposed by the Sanctions

According to the NSDC decision, indefinite sanctions have been established for these individuals, as well as sanctions for a period of 10 years. The restrictive measures include the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine, asset blocking, and restrictions on trade operations.

Sanctions against these individuals were introduced due to their participation in information campaigns aimed at undermining Ukraine’s defense capability, promoting anti-Ukrainian narratives, and legitimizing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The President’s Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, Vladislav Vasyuk, explained that such actions are aimed at protecting national security and the information space of Ukraine. The imposed sanctions are part of a systematic effort to counter the destructive influence exerted by individuals involved in propaganda and support for the aggression of the Russian Federation.
