Growth Dynamics of the Electric Vehicle Market in the Regions
In the first six months of 2025, Ukraine’s vehicle fleet was replenished with nearly 31,800 electric vehicles (BEV). The highest number of electric cars was registered in the Lviv region — 4,451 vehicles. The second position was taken by the city of Kyiv with 3,914 new electric cars, while Kyiv region ranked third with 2,719 vehicles.
Next in the ranking are Dnipropetrovsk (2,488 electric vehicles) and Odesa (1,817 electric vehicles) regions. Most of the new registrations consisted of used electric cars imported from abroad; however, the segment of new vehicles is also showing confident growth.
Leaders Among New and Used Electric Vehicles
In Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Dnipropetrovsk region, the leader among new electric vehicles is the Volkswagen ID. UNYX. In contrast, in Lviv and Odesa regions, the most frequently chosen model is the Chinese BYD Song Plus.

In the segment of used electric cars imported from abroad, Tesla models are in the highest demand. Thus, in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Dnipropetrovsk region, the Tesla Model Y was most frequently registered, while in Lviv region — the Tesla Model 3, and in Odesa region — the Nissan Leaf.
