Consequences of the Shelling for the Railway and Workers
The head of the board of “Ukrzaliznytsia”, Oleksandr Pertzovsky, reported that one of the stations was damaged during the night attack, and a railway signalwoman sustained shrapnel injuries. The woman was promptly taken to the hospital, and her condition is assessed as non-critical, although doctors are providing necessary treatment.
“A post was destroyed at one of the stations, and our railway signalwoman sustained shrapnel injuries. Our colleague was immediately taken to the hospital. The injury is non-critical, but surgery is being performed. We will do everything possible on our part for her swift recovery,” the official stated.
Despite the destruction, train movement in the Odesa railway hub is ensured, but due to the need to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, temporary changes have been introduced to the schedule.
