Ukrposhta Introduces Priority Service for Up to Five Packages at Post Offices

The state company “Ukrposhta” has announced an update to its package pickup procedure, effective June 9. From now on, customers who visit the post office solely to collect packages can take advantage of the priority service. An important condition is that the number of packages must not exceed five units.

Conditions for Priority Service

The new rules apply in post offices where there is currently no separate window for package pickups. To receive packages without waiting in line, you need to inform the operator and emphasize that you are there exclusively to collect your shipment. This will help avoid long waiting times during your visit to the post office.

“Starting Monday, June 9, everyone who comes to the post office only for packages can pick them up out of turn. The limit is 5 packages. Tell the operator that you are there just to collect, and do not wait for long,” the announcement states.

Quality of Package Delivery in Ukraine

The company also emphasized the high level of service – in May 2025, 98% of all packages sent within Ukraine were delivered on time. This exceeds international standards, which consider a delivery quality level satisfactory when it reaches 95%. In comparison, leading global postal operators such as FedEx and UPS demonstrate on-time delivery rates of 95–97%.
