The Ukrainian private company specializing in titanium ore extraction “Velta” is starting the reconstruction and major repairs of its existing production facilities at the Birzulivske deposit located in the Kirovohrad region. This was announced by the company’s president Andriy Brodsky.

“We are investing several tens of millions of hryvnias because we could not carry out the necessary work for three years due to the war. It’s not a huge amount, but it is very significant for production.”
In addition to restoring existing facilities, the company plans to design new mining sites and create its own energy system. This will ensure greater production stability and reduce costs.
“We have not stopped preparing and calculating a new large project, not just a project, but an entire cluster for the extraction and processing of critical minerals based on the same Birzulivske and another one of our deposits – Likarivske in the Kirovohrad region.”
It is planned that high-tech processing will take place on the territory of the former mine, which the company “Velta” leases, and reconstruction will begin as early as next year.
“Four types of raw materials from the list of the raw materials agreement between Ukraine and the USA, along with additional products that are the foundation for the recovery of our country during and after the war. We have named all of this the “CRM cluster,” and it could become the flagship of the agreement ratified in the Verkhovna Rada.”
