Ukrainian Startups Received €12 Million in Funding from Seeds of Bravery

Over the past two and a half years, the international project Seeds of Bravery has supported 318 Ukrainian technology startups, providing them with funding totaling €12 million. This initiative was created to stimulate the development of the Ukrainian technology sector during the war and concluded its activities in April 2026.

Results of Seeds of Bravery

Seeds of Bravery launched on December 20, 2023, with the aim of helping technology businesses in Ukraine adapt to new conditions and expand their presence in European and global markets. During the project’s implementation, startups were able not only to attract funding but also to find new partners in Europe and scale their products.

“On December 20, 2023, Seeds of Bravery was launched to support Ukrainian technology businesses during the war. After two and a half years of operation, the project is coming to an end. During this time, 318 startups received funding, found European partners, and scaled their products to new markets.”

As part of the program, Ukrainian innovators participated in 34 international conferences and gained access to 61 coworking spaces in various countries across Europe. More than 600 meetings with potential clients were organized, allowing outreach to 2,430 investors and corporations from Europe. Meanwhile, 236 researchers completed specialized entrepreneurship programs, and already one-fifth of them have created their own technology projects. Additionally, 100 female entrepreneurs enhanced their leadership skills through participation in the FEL program.

Partnership and Strategic Support

The Seeds of Bravery project was implemented in partnership with leading organizations in Ukraine and the European Union, including FundingBox, the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF), CyberInnovate, INNOV8, EIT Health, Plug and Play, Aalto University, and other accelerators and hubs. The total cost of the initiative is €20 million, allocated by the European Union for targeted support of the deep tech startup ecosystem in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the European Commission also presented a new financial instrument, AGILE, with a budget of €115 million, which will accelerate the implementation of innovative defense technologies in the region.
