Ukraine Sold 20-Year Special Permit for Charnoquit Extraction in Khmelnytskyi Region

Grandkarʼyer LLC has obtained the right to extract charnoquit within the area of plot No. 1 of the Medzhybizh deposit in the Khmelnytskyi region, winning the auction with a bid of 4.53 million UAH. The auction was organized by the State Service of Geology and Subsoil, with the starting price of the lot set at 4.43 million UAH.

Charnoquit Reserves and Extraction Conditions

According to estimates, the balance reserves of charnoquit in the specified area amount to 5.437 million cubic meters. This rock, belonging to the family of low-alkali granites, is used as raw material for the production of crushed stone and rubble stone. With an annual productivity of the quarry at 230 thousand cubic meters, the company’s reserves exceed 23 years.

Auction Winners and Expected Results

The bidding also included the agricultural enterprise Krynichenka, which submitted a bid at the starting price of 4.43 million UAH. The ultimate beneficiary of the winning company from Khmelnytskyi is Oksana Benkalovych.

“The preliminarily estimated balance reserves of charnoquit (a rock from the family of low-alkali granites) in plot No. 1 of the Medzhybizh deposit, suitable as raw material for the production of crushed stone and rubble stone, amount to 5.437 million cubic meters.”

Previously, Geo Rozrobka LLC won an auction for a five-year special permit for the development of an amber deposit in the Andriivka area of the Korosten district in the Zhytomyr region, offering 4.91 million UAH. According to the tender documentation, it is expected that this area will reveal amber reserves of at least 60,000 kg for further use in the jewelry industry.
