Ukraine has signed an updated free trade agreement with the countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. This was announced on April 8 by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

, – noted the head of the government. The agreement includes updated provisions on simplifying trade procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, public procurement, technical cooperation, and intellectual property rights protection.
New sections regarding e-commerce, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, trade, and sustainable development have also been added, emphasized the head of the government. Separately, Ukraine has signed updated agreements in the agricultural sector with Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland.
According to Shmyhal, this will help reduce barriers and expand access for Ukrainian goods to the markets of these countries.
