During the Ukraine Recovery Conference taking place in Rome, Ukrainian defense projects will be presented for the first time. In addition, the Ukrainian delegation plans to attract funding for their implementation by signing international agreements.

International Cooperation in Defense and Innovation
“We expect to sign agreements in the defense sector between Ukrainian and foreign partners in production, innovation, and technology,” stated the Ministry of Economy.
Conference participants, including representatives from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the European Commission, intend to announce the launch of 18 new programs supported by the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF). These initiatives aim to attract investments for Ukrainian enterprises of various ownership forms — state, municipal, and private.
Support for Business and the Agricultural Sector
The Entrepreneurship Development Fund is preparing to sign a grant agreement with the German development bank KfW for €40 million. These funds will initiate a state program to support enterprises from de-occupied territories and other vulnerable business groups affected by the war.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine plans to conclude several important agreements at the conference: with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) regarding the modernization of irrigation systems in the Odesa region; with the government of Italy regarding the development of rural areas in the region; and to sign a memorandum with the Japanese company Fujita for the establishment of a network of modern vegetable storage facilities in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky previously announced that this week Ukraine is preparing to establish new strategic agreements with international partners in the fields of defense and state recovery.
