The Importance of Titanium for Various Industries
She noted that titanium has numerous applications, and the added value of titanium products is very high. This applies to the military-industrial complex, aircraft, modern ships, weapons, as well as any engineering that requires titanium.
Furthermore, titanium plays a crucial role in the field of prosthetics. By combining the extraction of titanium and lithium, powerful batteries for hybrid cars can be created. Additionally, titanium ores are significant for American investors in the context of producing the most advanced fighter jets.
Titanium Reserves in Ukraine
Remezova also emphasized that titanium ores contain scandium and vanadium. Scandium is found in the alloys used by Americans for manufacturing F-16 and F-35 aircraft. Several hundred kilograms of this element are needed to produce one aircraft.
“Titanium has a vast number of applications. The added value in titanium products is very high. This includes the military-industrial complex, aircraft, modern ships, and weapons. In general, any engineering requires titanium.”
The scientist estimated Ukraine’s titanium reserves at 20% of the total global volume, which is significantly more than in Russia.
