Auctions for the Sale of Agricultural Land

The lion’s share of the auctions — three out of four — concerned agricultural land plots. The organizers of these auctions included local communities, the state project “Land Bank,” as well as private executors and landowners. The highest revenues from the sale of agricultural land were generated by the “Land Bank.” According to the results of about a thousand auctions, winners will pay nearly 1.1 billion hryvnias annually to various levels of budgets.

The most expensive among all agricultural plots was a land area of nearly 4,000 hectares in the Kirovohrad region, which was auctioned by the “Land Bank.” The winner committed to pay over 65.5 million hryvnias annually.

Sale of Land for Other Purposes and Community Leaders

In addition to agricultural lands, plots for industry, transport, and energy were also actively sold. The absolute leader among communities in terms of attracted funds was the Murovana community in the Lviv region — it sold 50 hectares of industrial land for 102.7 million hryvnias.

“Since the beginning of 2021, over 30,000 land plots have been sold in the state electronic system ProZorro.Sales, and the total value of the agreements reached nearly ₴8 billion.”
