Establishment of the Ukrainian-Korean Working Group

According to Kuleba, the parties reached a separate agreement on the establishment of a Ukrainian-Korean working group for reconstruction. This will allow leading companies from Korea to engage in practical activities in Ukraine and significantly accelerate the transition from negotiation to real projects. The minister emphasized that the total amount of announced aid to Ukraine from South Korea is 2.3 billion US dollars.

“This will enable us to involve leading Korean companies in work in Ukraine and move more quickly from negotiations to practical solutions,” the minister noted, reminding that the total package of announced aid to Ukraine from South Korea amounts to $2.3 billion.

Modernization of the Railway Sector and Cooperation with Eximbank Korea

During his visit to Seoul, Oleksiy Kuleba held talks with Eximbank Korea board member Hwang Ki-Yon and representatives of the Economic Development and Cooperation Fund of the Republic of Korea (EDCF). The parties discussed issues related to the modernization of the Ukrainian railway, specifically the possibility of financing the purchase of 20 high-speed electric trains produced in Korea. The introduction of these trains will significantly expand passenger transport capacity, address the issue of seat shortages during peak periods, and facilitate the renewal of the rolling stock of “Ukrzaliznytsia.”
