Ukraine and Austria Strengthen Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector and Economy

Ukraine and Austria have signed a memorandum aimed at expanding partnership in agriculture. According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy, Vitaliy Koval, this document opens new horizons for domestic producers and will facilitate the country’s Euro-integration.

Key Areas of Cooperation

Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to activate trade in agricultural products, implement modern technologies, and develop crop and livestock production. The document also provides for international exchange of experience in environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural production, as well as cooperation between scientific, educational, and research institutions. Additionally, there are plans to support student exchanges in the field of agricultural sciences and assistance in plant breeding and animal husbandry.

“The memorandum is not just about cooperation and economic prospects. It is also about opportunities for Ukrainian producers to open new markets and create joint ventures with Austrian companies,” emphasized Koval.

Deepening Economic Partnership

Furthermore, Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, and Austria’s Minister of Economy, Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, signed a declaration on expanding economic cooperation between the two countries. Under this agreement, Ukraine and Austria committed to supporting business contacts, attracting investments, exchanging experiences, and coordinating efforts for Ukraine’s economic recovery.
